  Bible Ministry 2008

Just as the donkey carries a cross we too have our own crosses to bear, some heavier than others.  Looking further one might also notice that the cross upon the donkey marks the exact center of his being.  I believe this is to be a sign for us.  When we place Christ in the center of our lives he is faithful to carry our burdens if only we would turn them over to him.  In a town called Bethlehem a donkey such as this carried the word in.  Later he carried the word to Calvary and now he has carried it to many of you.  If you have received a Bible at a donkey show, special event, occasion, or from someone who picked one up just for you, know that a special prayer has been said each day on your behalf.   You can find the number of your Bible listed below along with the daily prayer that goes out for you.

You may also email me with any special prayer requests and I will add them to my personal prayer list.  I would be glad to post any requests if you so desire.

DAILY PRAYER:

The prayer goes something like this: Lord I pray that those who were faithful to your call and have received one of the Bibles listed below will hunger for the revelation knowledge of you which comes through your Word.  I ask Lord that they will desire to have a closer relationship with you.  Bless their home with peace, joy, hope, etc.  Protect their family from the hand of Satan.  Lord I pray too that you will heal them of any physical, emotional, and/or financial problems that they may be encountering.   Show them that your word will reveal to them the true purpose for their life.  Pour out upon them special blessings that they may share their joy with others so that all might see Jesus in them.

WHO IS JESUS?

To learn about the loving kindness of this most extraordinary man, God's son, you should begin reading in the book of John.  Once you understand who he is you may want to except his gift of eternal life.  As you read the following scriptures the Lord will reveal to you how you may receive salvation through grace.

John 14:6
Romans 10:9-11
2Corinthians 5:15
Revelations 3: 20

BIBLES BY NUMBER

YEAR 2008

June and July 2008.  Westside Community Methodist Church helped to support our ministry by putting on a Mini Expo.  The purpose was to help fund a show in Liberty KY and to have the Word of God go out to all that attended that day.  Because of those who were faithful Bibles went out during this workshop.  In addition to this Expo I then spent a week with my sister in Gulf Shores where I was able to pass out Bibles to people who I met on the airplane.  On the beach I met a man who took interest in us and brought a little added joy to the life of a young boy who decided to spend his vacation with us, 3 girls.  Yes!! He was brave.  Eight Bibles went out during these two events.(27, 271, 273, 294,295,296,297,298)  I pray that the Bibles you received have brought you or the ones you have passed them along to blessings and a little added joy.  The Word says that:  This is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalms 118:24  It is not always easy to do this, but God's Word says:  "Tell the righteous that blessings will come to them. They will taste the fruit of their labor." Isaiah 3:10.  I pray that through God's Word you will come to understand the ways in which God would have us to live.  By so doing, you will come to live a purpose filled life one where Christ Jesus is given first priority.

July and August 2008.  These events consisted of the Breyer Fest at the KY Horse Park and the Kentucky State Championship Mule and Donkey Show.  During these two events we passed out Bibles (350-390 and 396-399).  By the time these two events came this year our farm had been involved in branching out to other areas of ministry.  Exhaustion had set in and I found myself wondering if what we were doing was just a good work or the the will of God.  Once at the Breyer Fest I was blessed by the crowds who stood and cheered for Moses as he was announced over the intercom before the 1,500 spectators that came out that day.  It was not for him they were cheering but for the words that were spoken by the announcer in regards to the works this little donkey had done for the Lord.  We are called to plant seeds and most of the time we may never see the harvest.  I know that those who were there that day were reminded of the one who created them.  As for the show in Liberty we were once again blessed.  I was considering selling Moses because I thought it would make the work on the farm less difficult.  I think the Lord took the opportunity to show me that Moses was still called to do his work.  This little guy does not like the show ring and won't stand to be judged.  Surprise!!  He took Grand Champion Jack.  He actually beat a fine jack who has won many championships and reserve championships.  I was shocked.  In addition his original breeder was there to see it happen.  She is going blind and her health is failing.  The day was truly a blessing for us all.  Also, God allowed us to earn nearly $500.00 towards the drilling of a well in Haiti for the purpose of providing clean drinking water for both the people of Haiti and their livestock.  The Word tells us to go out and tell all creation about Jesus Christ. Mark 16:15  This is the great commission.  When we do he blesses our lives beyond all we can imagine.  It is not always easy to follow that which you cannot see.  God's word tells us: "By faith he, Moses, left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing Him who is unseen."  Hebrews 11:27   Jesus said, "'If you are able?' Everything is possible for the person who believes!" Mark 9:23  I am therefore praying that you who have received these Bibles would reach out to all those who would listen and share the Word of God with them so that they too may be blessed and their lives be fulfilled.  For those who received a Bible and do not yet believe I pray that you will step out in an act of faith and accept the precious gift of salvation that Christ offers.  In living in accordance to his Word doors will open and your life will have a greater meaning, purpose, and a sense of fullness.  May God Bless all those who received His Word on these days.  Thank you for making our day a blessed one.

September and October 2008.  Wow!!  The Lord has once again blessed us during these sixty days by allowing our farm to pass out nearly 150 Bibles.  During the months of September and October our farm attended the TN State Fair, Casey County Apple Festival Parade, The Grand Parade of Breeds in Georgetown KY, and our first official birthday party.  I pray that all the Bibles (400-550) have been a blessing to those who received one and either kept it or passed it on to someone in need of God's Word.  As our country is facing great trials and possibly hard times it has become more difficult for all of us.  Just know that our God can provide us with peace that surpasses all human understanding.  If we stand firmly on his Word and claim for our lives the promises he has made for us we can persevere.  Yes, it is truly possible to have joy, peace, and hope even in the midst of great tribulation.  Through faith you may live a victorious life.  The Word says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.  I challenge you to spend a few minutes a day in God's word.  Before long you will notice a positive change in your life.  It doesn't take an abundance of faith or knowledge to put God's Word into action.  As it states in the Bible, "Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing."  (Psalm 34:10b)  Trust in the Lord and do good; so you will live in the land, and enjoy security. Take delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him. (Psalm 37:3-5, 7a)  Learn more!!

October 26th, 2008.  This was a first for Moses and Cooper.  It was Cooper's first birthday.  For entertainment he invited Moses to come and share in the fun.  During the party several Bibles (500-550)were shared with family members and their friends.  I pray that the Words will bring a special meaning to their lives and that Cooper's birthday although a special one will carry an added reminder that no matter our age we can make a difference in the lives of others.  One hundred Bibles will be passed out this Christmas in Cooper's hometown of Danville, KY.  These Bibles were purchased by his family to honor this day.  I pray that these Bibles may become someone's first step toward a more fulfilled, purpose driven life.  For all those who attended Cooper's party I pray that God would allow them to feel the depth of his love.  Let me leave you with this final thought.  "Little children, let us not love [merely] in theory or in speech but in deed and in truth (in practice and in sincerity)." 1 John 3: 18
Thanks for allowing Moses to be a part of such a special day.

December 5th, 6th, or 13th, 2008.  Between these three parades we passed out 200 Bibles, 250 bookmarks, 250 brochures, and 200 donkey cookies.  It was such a blessing to share the birth of Christ with all those who were brave enough to venture out into the cold.  Remember this season that Christ made a way for all of us to experience a new birth through him.  When we are reborn through our acceptance of his sacrifice and allow him to be Lord of our lives we can become a new person one who will live a victorious, happy, fulfilled life no matter the circumstances.  These are hard times for many, but with Jesus in your life you can persevere and prosper.  There can be joy in your life no matter the circumstances.  God does answer prayers!!  I will be praying that God will bless you, keep you safe, and fill your life with joy this Christmas season.  Jesus Christ is always true to his word.  Let this scripture give you strength.  "Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him" (Psalm 2:12).
