Bible Ministry 2007
Just as the donkey
carries a cross we too have our own crosses to bear,
some heavier than others. Looking further one might
also notice that the cross upon the donkey marks the
exact center of his being. I believe this is to be a
sign for us. When we place Christ in the center of our
lives he is faithful to carry our burdens if only we
would turn them over to him. In a town called Bethlehem
a donkey such as this carried the word in. Later he
carried the word to Calvary and now he has carried it to
many of you. If you have received a Bible at a donkey
show, special event, occasion, or from someone who
picked one up just for you, know that a special prayer
has been said each day on your behalf. You can find
the number of your Bible listed below along with the
daily prayer that goes out for you.
You may also email me with any special prayer requests
and I will add them to my personal prayer list. I would
be glad to post any requests if you so desire.
DAILY PRAYER:
The
prayer goes something like this: Lord I pray that those
who were faithful to your call and have received one of
the Bibles listed below will hunger for the revelation
knowledge of you which comes through your Word. I ask
Lord that they will desire to have a closer relationship
with you. Bless their home with peace, joy, hope, etc.
Protect their family from the hand of Satan. Lord I
pray too that you will heal them of any physical,
emotional, and/or financial problems that they may be
encountering. Show them that your word will reveal to
them the true purpose for their life. Pour out upon
them special blessings that they may share their joy
with others so that all might see Jesus in them.
WHO IS
JESUS?
To
learn about the loving kindness of this most
extraordinary man, God's son, you should begin reading
in the book of John. Once you understand who he is you
may want to except his gift of eternal life. As you
read the following scriptures the Lord will reveal to
you how you may receive salvation through grace.
John
14:6
Romans 10:9-11
2Corinthians 5:15
Revelations 3: 20
BIBLES BY
NUMBER:
YEAR 2007
In March.
Kelly and Alias Raymundo took a trip to Mexico where
they passed out 50 Spanish New Testament Bibles (51-100).
All those who received one felt blessed to have God's
Word. I pray that the Words in these Bibles will
help fill their hearts with joy, peace, and love.
Also I pray that His Word will carry them through
troubled times, remind them that there are people out
there praying for them, shower them with
blessings, and encourage them to persevere through tough
times always abiding in God's Word. Please pray a
special prayer for them as they are not nearly as
blessed as we are here in the United States.
In June.
Several senior citizens came to the farm to enjoy the
donkeys. It was a wonderful event and touched the
lives of those who participated. I am not sure who
was most blessed me or those who came to visit. I
pray that all those who receive one of the Bibles that
were given in faith have been shared with others.
I am asking that the Lord bless all those who have the
following Bibles with a peace that surpasses all
understanding. Also I ask that the words with in
their Bible will move them to want to share the Word of
God with all those around them. For those who may
not know the Lord I pray the they will come to know the
truth of who he is and accept him as their Lord and
Savior. (
105, 107, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, 119, 120)
In July.
Our farm attended the Great Celebration in Shelbyville
TN. Each year we look forward to attending this
show and meeting up with distant friends. Not only
do we look forward to a little fellowship but we seek to
share God's Word. This year we passed out 10
Bibles. I pray that all those who graciously
accepted God's gift of his word be blessed abundantly
and that they may desire to boldly share Jesus with
others. (102, 101, 111,
110, 109, 123, 124, 127, 130, 133)
In July.
Moses and I attended the BreyerFest. We met so
many knew people and made friends. Once again our
farm was blessed beyond measure. It was a
wonderful three days. During that time we passed
out 24 Bibles. I pray that these Bibles find their
way into the hands of those who need faith, healing,
peace, financial blessings, acceptance, Love, etc.
God's word can and will provide all these to those who
are faithful to read his Word and put it into practice.
May God's peace and understanding lift you up.
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may
have peace." John 16:33(
125, 122, 121,126, 103,113, 108,129,128, 134, 106, 104,
112, 135, 136, 137, 139, 140, 141, 142, 143, 144, 145,
146, 147, 148, 149, 150)
In September.
We attended the Tennessee State Fair. What a
wonderful day we had. The interest in the
materials we pass out was amazing and blessed us
tremendously. I pray that those who received
materials have been and will continue to be as blessed
beyond measure. The key to a fulfilled life lies
within the Word that you have received. There are
abundant blessing waiting for all that put God's Word
into practice. I pray that you will desire to read
and act on God's Word so that it might manifest itself
in your life. Matthew Chapter 5:1-12
(151-170)
In September.
We attended the Apple Festival Parade. We we had
to travel along pretty quickly but had a good time
sharing God's Word with the spectators along the way.
This year we passed out 30 Bibles (171-200)
Parades are my favorite events because they
represent what God expects from us. Moses is our
parade donkey and although he does not always win in
halter classes he wins the hearts of all in the parades
where he is doing God's work in spreading the good news
of Jesus Christ so that no one should live in bondage
but can and will be set free to live a fulfilled, joyous
life in Christ. Like Moses we may not always win
or come out on top but when we are in the will of God it
does not matter for our joy and sense of self worth
comes from above and is more satisfying than any worldly
accomplishment. I pray that you will find true
fulfillment and a greater sense of self worth as you
read God's Word and put it into action. "These
things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in
you, and that your joy may be full." John
15:11
In September 2007.
We attended the Festival of the Horse. Living in
KY, mules and donkeys don't seem to rank high. As
a resident of this state it can sometimes be humbling
when claiming to raise donkeys. I know first hand
how it feels to be humbled as Christ calls us to be.
On Saturday I experienced a little taste of how Christ
must have felt riding in on a donkey. Moses once
again drove me through the parade. I was sure that
among all the beautiful horse we would be the comic
relief. I should have known differently. The
donkey was a chosen animal by God throughout the Bible
and represents what we are as unbroken sinners and what
we are to become as servants of Christ. It is no
wonder that no matter who is around the crowd is drawn
by these animals. I pray that you will seek the
will of God and that his Word will make known to you the
path for which he has intended you. I pray also
that you will be obedient to take up the cross of Christ
and follow him no matter what you believe others will
think. "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and
you will find; knock , and it will be opened to you."
Matthew 7:7(300-327)
December 2007.
We attended both the Danville and Stanford Christmas
Parade. Christmas is a busy time and for some the
most stressful time of the year. Meeting the needs
and expectations of family, friends, church, etc. can
sometimes distract you from remembering the one person
who made the greatest sacrifice of them all, Jesus
Christ. As usual it was a rush to arrive on time
with costumes and such all ready and the equipment,
donkey, and materials all in tact. Sometimes when
we sacrifice our time, money, energy when we least feel
that we have to ability to do so is when the Lord will
bless you the most. I pray that this year
that you will choose to serve the Lord and that you will
give of yourself no matter what the circumstances.
I pray that through your selfless giving you will be
blessed beyond measure. We passed out 120 Bibles
(201-299 and 327-349.)
We also passed out two Spanish Bibles (30,
41)
"But do not forget to do good and to share, for with
such sacrifices God is well pleased."
